Individualized Treatment Plans

Based upon individual client need a concurrent treatment plan is developed to address changes in cognitive thought patterns, behavioral patterns, and to develop alternative coping skills.

DBT and co-occurring disorders are incorporated in the individual treatment plan, facilitated by licensed clinical psychologists.

Dual Diagnosis

A whole person recovery program at the Gables also includes special attention to those women with additional physical or mental health diagnoses. Many of the women have been unable to maintain continuous sobriety because of these problems. Clinical consultation is provided by our consultants on an ongoing basis to ensure consistent quality care.

Family Therapy

We believe in the importance of family involvement in a client's recovery process. Based on individual client need, families are involved by phone contacts, individual sessions, and/or in our structured family program. The goal is to practice healthy interpersonal relationship skills, further understand the impact of disease on the family system, actively utilize familial strengths, and establish boundaries and responsibilities.

Every month a formal family program occurs which utilizes outside family therapy consultants to provide lectures, discussion, and therapy sessions to the residents and their families. Families will be notified soon after admission and are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the Gables Family Program.

Parenting Skills Group

A parenting skills group is offered through PAIIR (Parents Are Important In Rochester) in Rochester.

The dietary component of our program is supervised and planned by a registered dietician. The food is prepared and created by our kitchen staff, using only quality ingredients. Our primary goal is to provide delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals. Our secondary goal centers around promoting healthy nutrition practices through education and dietary consultation. Nutrition issues specific to recovering women are integrated on the treatment plan, including provisions necessary for certain dietary and medical needs.
